Between centuries-old woods and Blue Flag beaches
The Sterpaia Park, whose beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag since 2008, stretches into the gulf between Piombino and Follonica and covers a surface area of around 296 hectares.
A magical and enchanting place that is a must for visitors to Val di Cornia.
Enchanting landscape, between sea and land
A Blue Flag beach, 8km of sand, 124 hectares of dunes and back-dunes and 155 hectares of woodland and agricultural clearings.
This is the treasure of the Sterpaia Park.
You can access the park and the beaches from roads that branch off from the so-called “Geodetica” connecting Piombino to Riotoro: indeed, a large network of car parks allows controlled access to many beaches along the coast.
